I have a very strong attachment to the village of Pendeen and surrounding area where we bought a small former farmhouse thirty eight years ago when the children were very young. As a family we spent as much time as we possibly could at the property. On the last day of school whether it was half term , Easter, or the summer holidays the children, dogs and I jumped into a fully laden car and sped down the motorway to glorious Pendeen. We have very special memories of our time here where our children explored rock pools in the village below the coastline ,rode their bicycles , went horse riding ,and enjoyed building sand castles and munching their way through picnics, pasties and ice cream on the local beaches.During the summer there were many village fetes to visit as well as wonderful gardens in full bloom. We were always outdoors in the wonderful fresh sea air!
Six years ago I was looking to purchase a Cornish cottage in a coastal village location with a garden ideally in the area where we had our former property all those years ago . I was over the moon and felt very fortunate to find Dougal's Cottage actually in Pendeen and haven't looked back!
We hope you would like to stay with us and am sure you will have a wonderful time
